Osmoflo’s Barka project, located in Oman has been shortlisted for the annual Desalination Plant of the Year award. The award recognises the most impressive technical or ecologically sustainable achievement in the industry for 2015 by Global Water Intelligence.
Pitted against desalination plants located in the Middle East and the United States, the Barka project has been highlighted for its fast track basis and complete turnkey requirement. With a 56,775m3/d (12.5MIGD) capacity, the turnkey project can service Muscat, the capital city of Oman and surrounding areas which are experiencing increasing water demands.

The winner of the award will be announced at the 2016 Global Water Awards, located in Abu Dhabi on the 19th of April.
