Challenge Reverse Osmosis product water was required for our client to support their off shore drilling program. Supply vessels provide security and logistical support to the clients O&G drill rig operating in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of West Africa. The RO product water is stored on supply vessels and due to good quality water availability, water production on board the supply vessels and from sea water was needed for the well drilling process.
Solution Together with the client, a solution was developed for 2 x 150 m3/ day 20’ containerised SWRO units to be placed on the aft deck of 2 x 70mtr long supply vessels.
Result Containerised SWRO units were dispatched from our Perth facility on 6th January 2014. The containers were trucked over to Melbourne and uplifted onto a 747 cargo plane for airfreighting into Libreville. Upon arrival of equipment, Osmoflo personnel from Australia and Dubai mobilised to client site for plant installation and commissioning so as the supply vessels could commence logistical support operations by the end February 2014. Since plant commissioning and at the request of the client, Osmoflo continued to provide in-country operational support for the duration of the assignment.
