Challenge Chemical instrumentation racks used to monitor and control the quantity of condensate, feedwater and boiler steam cycles at the power station were nearing the end of their life cycle and required replacement. As successful tenderer, Osmoflo was also given the opportunity to improve on the design of the original wet rack system in use at Eraring Energy which had proved to be deficient in a number of areas.

Solution Osmoflo’s solution was to provide a new state of the art chemical control room using equipment of the highest quality including 118 high precision on line analytical instruments manufactured in Switzerland by SWAN. Build and commissioning was carried out during the routine shut down of individual boilers for maintenance.

Result Eraring Energy Power Station now has a state of the art, purpose built chemical control room incorporating leading edge analytical instrumentation which is fully supported by Osmoflo.

Eraring Power Station is Australia's largest power station.
