Challenge  Our client, a water utility in the Philippines, provides piped-in water supplies to communities with the water required to meet Philippine National Standards for drinking water. The client, who also look after waste water and sewerage systems, were faced with the urgent need to combat an increasing seasonal water salinity issue from the feed water lake. Aware that the water source had escalating TDS levels, a superior technical solution was required to treat the water so that it was safe for potable use.

Solution  From stock that was already being held by Osmoflo, and within 2 weeks of the equipment supply contract being awarded, we were able to dispatch 2 x 10,000m3/day skids from the UAE (Dubai). Other ancillary items such as MCC, Control System, HP pumps and RO membranes were also sourced and dispatched to the client site from various global locations.

Osmoflo provided detailed design and engineering support to the client for this project who managed the plant installation themselves, with engagement of Osmoflo to assist in installation supervision and plant commissioning.

Result  Osmoflo fast-tracked the design, procurement and delivery of equipment and provided continuous site services to the client during their construction and commissioning period. Two BWRO skids along with ancillary equipment were delivered to the project site within a tight deadline period, as required by the client.

Osmoflo provided the client with requirements for on site construction works to commence. With the equipment supplied and having developed a good relationship, Osmoflo continued to support the construction phase up until final plant commissioning was completed in May 2018.
